Pottery gives well because it is used. It does not go into a drawer. It enters a morning and stays there. Below are the pieces we have this week, with their prices, and a note on who each one suits.
Ceramic Gifts
Handmade Philippine pottery to give, arranged by budget and by the person receiving it. Mugs, cups, bowls and plates, and a few pieces by the artists we have shown.

Under ₱700
A single cup, for a colleague, a host, or yourself.
₱800 to ₱900
The everyday mugs and the taller cups, in the five house glazes.
A pair
Two of the same form, in two glazes, for a couple or for two people who share a kitchen. A pair of Juan is ₱1,300. A pair of Floresca is ₱1,800.
By the person
- The coffee drinker. Briseo in 350 ml, or Floresca at 480 ml for long mornings. A firm handle and a wide body.
- The tea drinker. Juan or Duke. Handleless, so the warmth comes through the wall into the hand.
- Someone who likes small things. Amado, a compact mug that sits easily in the hand.
- A home that hosts. A piece for the middle of the table rather than a personal one: a pitcher, a pasta bowl, a covered bowl. See The Table, below.
- A collector. A piece by a named Filipino ceramic artist, from the gallery.
- A team, or many people at once. Write to us with the number of pieces and your budget.
For the table
The TablePlates, bowls and pitchers in Sand and Rust, from the same studio as the house mugs. On enquiry.
For a collector
The galleryWork by Filipino ceramic artists shown at AWIS. Some pieces are still with us. On enquiry.

Close, not identical. Each piece is thrown and glazed by hand, so the glaze and the form vary a little from one to the next.
Yes. They are high fired stoneware. The one thing to avoid is a sudden change in temperature, such as boiling water into a cold cup.
